Las Terrenas is a town on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, located on the Samaná Peninsula, in the province of Samaná. The town has approximately 20,000 inhabitants, many of whom are expatriates from various nationalities. Originally a fishing village, in recent years, it has experienced strong tourist development, fueled by the presence of the new "El Catey" International Airport just 20 minutes away, and a highway that connects the town to the capital, Santo Domingo, in 2 hours.

Benefiting from a temperate tropical climate, with temperatures ranging from 25°C to 32°C, it is primarily the wild beaches, the color of the lagoons, and the beauty of the hills overlooking the ocean that attract people to Las Terrenas.

Multiple activities are offered in the area, including a wide range of water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing with the Cocokite team, paddleboarding, kayaking, diving, deep-sea fishing, among others. Various excursions in lush landscapes on horseback, quad bikes, or jeeps allow visitors to discover the biodiversity of the Dominican Republic.

From January 15th to the end of March, magnificent humpback whales give birth in the bay of Samaná. The "Los Haitises" National Park is a pure wonder, with the diversity of seabirds encountered, as well as the different caves where traces of ancient civilizations (Taino Indians) can be discovered.

For those who prefer tranquility, the beaches of the Samaná Peninsula are paradise-like and invite total relaxation. At night, Las Terrenas offers a variety of lively places, including the new Fisherman's Village, where restaurants of various nationalities and music bars can be found to enjoy the nightlife during your vacation.
